As per a video, which has gone viral on the Internet, the couple could be seen interacting rudely with a man, who filmed the misbehavior.

Identified as Kurush Mistry and Shailja Gupta, the duo went on a cuss-filled anti-Semitic rant at night in New York’s 68th Street and Riverside Boulevard. The incident took place on November 9, amidst the raging conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group.

As per the video doing the rounds on social media, the couple could be seen taping a pole, trying to conceal posters. The woman is heard telling the filmer to go back to his country while claiming herself to be a Palestinian.

She also accuses Jewish men of being a rapist as the rant continues.

Meanwhile, shortly after the video went viral, Mistry was sacked from his job. Without naming him, his previous firm, Freepoint Commodities, stated on social media that an employee was let go for anti-Semitic acts.

Mistry, who graduated in 2003, is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, one of India’s premier b-schools.

His wife, Gupta, has connections in the Indian film industry and has been a part of several movies, including Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One.

Journalist Andy Ngô, who shared the clip on X, stated that Mistry was fired from his oil analyst job while Gupta owns her own business that deals with customised memorabilia among other things.

X users have pointed at the irony of two Indian-origin people asking a man of Jewish heritage to go back to his country.
