Raffles Hotel marks Singapore’s 58th birthday with celebratory specials

In celebration of Singapore’s 58th birthday, Raffles Hotel Singapore has announcedd a series of limited-time experiences, including gastronomic creations, wellness experiences and gifts this August.

The art of wood-fired cooking at Butcher’s Block, premium mooncake specialties, refreshing tipples at Raffles Courtyard are some of the planned fare. Raffles Spa’s August offer and Raffles Boutique’s bundle of gourmet treats with well-loved local flavours, such as National Day Gourmet Specials at Raffles Hotel Singapore and Premium Mid-Autumn Mooncake Specialties are also available.

Raffles Hotel’s Premium Mooncake Box (SGD 228), aselection of baked mooncakes handcrafted by Raffles masterchefs is the essence of tradition and celebration. With only 1,000 sets available from August 9, 2023, each Premium Mooncake Box features a luxurious assemblage comprising:

  • 4 individually packed Raffles Baked Mooncakes of your choice
  • 1 can of Premium First Flush Longjing Tea
  • 1 can of Premium Imperial Pu Er Tea
  • 2 Raffles Ceramic Deep Green Tea Mugs

The Raffles Hotel Mooncake Booth will also be open daily from 11.00am to 8.00pm at the North Bridge Road Atrium for mooncake purchase and collection.

utcher’s Block signature Tour de Force experience has been given a local spin by the chefs. The multi-course fusion of local flavours and culinary influences will be available for dinner on August 9, 2023.

The multi-course menu features a spread of locally-inspired flavours and premium ingredients curated through accents of wood-fire. An assortment of appetisers, including baby corn paired with crispy prawn cracker and fragrant ginger flower aioli; Mantou wrapped around Kam Heong King crab and sakura ebi; and Wagyu Tartare garnished with scallion and fermented kimchi.

Seasonal seafood creations, including sweet Amaebi shrimp paired alongside with kaffir lime smoked mango purée, topped with calamansi kosho, as well as Grilled Morisseau Mussels served in a bed of corn curry. Duck complemented with tangy goji berries, lotus leaf, and chestnut; succulent Basque Country Red Mullet with lychee sambal atop; and tender Iberico Pork Ribs accompanied by black garlic purée and confit leek. A unique amalgamation of traditional Asian elements, blending Sweet Potato, roti bakar, and tangy yoghurt is planned for dessert.

Raffles Courtyard and Singapore-based craft distillery, Compendium Spirits, presents a collaborative menu featuring a series of locally inspired cocktails available daily from now to August 31, 2023.

Discover three new locally inspired tipples specially curated by Raffles Courtyard bartenders, including Tropical Oasis, a combination spotlighting Compendium Spirits’ Spiced Rum; CT Fizz, a concoction starring Chendol Gin with hints of rich gula melaka complemented with the bittersweet notes of Amaro Nonino, chrysanthemum syrup, lemon and grapefruit juice; and a truly local cocktail affair with Kampong Gelam, featuring Compendium Spirits’ Straits Vodka, spotlighting authentic flavours native to Singapore.

As part of the collaboration, three other cocktails have been handcrafted exclusively by the Compendium Spirits team. Rojaktini, a unique twist to the classic martini cocktail based with Compendium’s flagship Rojak Gin, mixed with Dolin Dry Vermouth and orange bitters; Lychee Mojito, dark rum, lychee liqueur and tangy lime to quench one’s thirst; and Kopi Tonic, a treat for coffee connoisseurs, capturing the essence of the bustling local kopitiam culture in Singapore.

The partnership also includes two food bundle options that pairs Raffles Courtyard’s Southeast Asian small plates with these cocktails. Guests may show their tickets to the National Day Parade or its preview sessions at Raffles Courtyard to enjoy a special price on The Courtyard Bundle (SGD 58++, U.P. SGD 70++), which includes two cocktails of their choice from the collaborative menu, a flavourful plate of Nasi Lemak Rolls, a twist on the local breakfast delight, as well as succulent Spicy Tiger Prawns.

From August 1 to 31, 2023, a 90-minute Raffles Signature Gemstone Massage (U.P SGD 390++) will be available and those who avail of it can enjoy SGD 58 off for the experience. 

A selection of delightful gourmet treats that encapsulate local flavours are also planned. From August 5 to 31, 2023, purchase gourmet bundles with three flavours of choice. Choose from savoury Cereal Prawn Cookies and Laksa Cookies from Raffles Boutique’s collaboration with traditional local bakery Old Seng Choong, or decadent rich chocolates, including Raffles Kaya Praline or ginger-spiced Raffles The Halia Praline.
