Just days after the government’s CDC vouchers scheme went live, enabling households to claim vouchers worth SGD 500, some participating supermarkets have made the deal even sweeter by announcing special offers.
The said offers were announced by supermarkets chain FairPrice, Giant and Cold Storage.
All three chains are participating in the CDC vouchers scheme — which will allow households to claim two vouchers of SGD 250 each, to be spent on Hawker-heartland shops and supermarkets.
FairPrice announced an SGD 8 voucher for every SGD 80 spent in a single receipt using the CDC Supermarket Vouchers. The offer, however, is valid till January 17, 2024.
Giant Singapore’s Facebook page read: “FREE 2.5kg Rice when you spend $100 CDC Grocery Vouchers at Giant! Yes! You heard us, FREE RICE! 🤩 Promotion starts now till 7 Jan, limited to first 50 customers per store per day. Hurry to your nearest Giant store to redeem it now! While stock lasts!”
Similarly, Cold Storage will give a return voucher of SGD 5 when customers will spend SGD 100 worth of CDC Vouchers.
The CDC vouchers went live from January 3, 2024 and will be valid till the rest of the year.
Old vouchers, which have expired but still have cash left in them, can be donated.
