Air India Express wins 3 awards at India Digital Summit; Gets lauded for its gender-neutral initiatives

Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India — the flag carrier airline of India, bagged three awards at the India Digital Summit recently.

One of the awards won by the company was the Digital Responsibility Award for Gender Inclusivity, where the jury rewarded the airline for its gender-neutral initiatives, including gender-neutral salutations in the guest profiles alongside the booking engine.

The other two awards — Best Search Campaign and Best Video Campaign — were won for its marketing initiatives, which were launched as part of the rebranding exercise.

The airline company also announced a collaboration with the show host, Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), for the Make-a-Thon event. It received good responses and numerous entries from young techies across India.

The participants came together to address and solve pressing real-world issues from the aviation and MSME industries, showcasing their coding skills.

How many flights does Air India Express operate?

Currently, the company is operating over 340 flights daily. It flies to 31 domestic and 14 international airports.

Its fleet of 65 aircraft comprise 37 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s.
