The Ministry of Health reported 310 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on July 22. This takes the national tally of infections to 48,744.
The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
There are also seven cases in the community, of whom three are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and four are Work Pass holders.
Additionally there are six imported cases, three of which are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents who returned to Singapore from India on July 12, and from Kazakhstan on July 10. The remaining three are Work Pass holders who are currently employed in Singapore. They arrived in Singapore from the Philippines on July 8 and 10.
All of them had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
