249 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on July 15, including an imported case from India

The Ministry of Health has reported 249 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on July 15. This takes the national tally of infections to 46,878. 

The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. There are 16 cases in the community, all of whom are Work Pass holders.

There are also five imported cases, one of which is a Singaporean who returned from India on July 3.

Another two cases are Work Pass or Student’s Pass holders who are currently employed or study in Singapore. Another case is a Long-Term Visit Pass holder whose spouse is a Singapore Permanent Resident.

All of them had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
