Zee Tamil is set to launch a major prime-time show – Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal on Tuesday, March 23. The show will be aired from Monday to Saturday on Zee Tamil HD.
“Zee Tamil will continue to create exciting content that appeals to both India and APAC audience. Our programmes are currently well received in Malaysia and we are confident that with upcoming new shows like Rockstar (a musical reality show) , the channel will be the preferred Tamil entertainment destination,” said Tripta Singh, EVP of Asia Pacific.
Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal is a light-hearted modern-day family drama depicting the relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The show follows the life of Lakshmi, whose life revolves around the well-being of her son and father-in-law, for which she often compromises on her own needs. The story evolves as Lakshmi’s progressive daughter-in-law empowers her on a journey towards finding love and happiness and overcome the obstacles thrown by the society and the rest of her family.
The cast includes Devyani, Abhishek Shankar, VJ Parvathi, Niyaz and Dindigul I. Leoni. The show also marks the reunion of Devyani and Abhishek – the hit pair from the iconic daily-soap 'Kolangal' who essay the roles of Lakshmi and Hari Krishnan, respectively.
