When people walk out of the cinema after watching my films, they are silent – Anurag Kashyap

There is a reason why Anurag Kashyap’s films are the way they are. He loves to shock, challenge norms, tell his story the way he wants to, “sees things" in people and uses whatever life experiences he comes across.

While talking to Anthony Chen during the SGIFF’s  Masterclass series Anurag disclosed that Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Querishi’s interaction in the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur', where he touches her hand for the first time, was Nawazuddin’s experience from his off-reel life. Anurag spoke to Connected to India for the ‘Spotlight’ section.

Hear it firsthand from the Director of ‘Psycho Raman’, screened during the 27th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF).
