A Singaporean woman died after she slipped and plummeted 100 feet from a cliff in Minnewaska State Park Preserve in the US’ New York on Friday (December 22, 2023).
The death was reported by the woman’s husband, Abdul Rauf Mohd Said. The deceased has been identified as Nur Aisyah, also known as Ais Sarah. Taking to Facebook, Said said that health workers tried to revive his wife for nearly three hours, but were unsuccessful.
Stating his plight, Said wrote his heart is broken into pieces and he has been crying since the mishap occurred.
“My heart is broken into pieces and I don’t know how to piece them back together. I’ve been crying non-stop for the last 12 hours and been really distraught by myself now. You’re my wife, best friend and soul mate. I don’t know what is this test from the Almighty,” he wrote on Facebook.
He also apologised to his dead wife for not getting her in time. “I’m sorry I didn’t manage to get to you in time sayang,” part of the post read.
The family is receiving assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as per reports. Said revealed that the autopsy of his wife’s body has been completed.
The couple are co-founders of real estate investment company Noble Sky International. The firm focused on the US market.
