Ukraine receives medicine as 14th consignment of humanitarian aid from India reaches the war-hit country

India handed over their 14th consignment of humanitarian aid, which also included medicines, to war and crisis-hit Ukraine.

Indian Ambassador to Ukraine Harsh Jain handed over the packages to the authorities in the nation which was invaded by Russia last year.

It was handed over to Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Health Ihor Kuzin.

The Indian Embassy in Ukraine tweeted: "Ambassador Harsh Jain handed over the 14th consignment of humanitarian aid comprising essential medicines to H.E. Mr. Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health, who thanked the government of India for the assistance."

Earlier on Monday, humanitarian aid comprising sleeping bags, blankets and tents were delivered to Ukraine from India.

A tweet on the issue read: "Ambassador Harsh Jain handed over humanitarian aid comprising sleeping bags, blankets & tents to Shyroke Village Council & Zaporizhzhia Geriatric Boarding House in presence of H.E. Mr. Yuriy Malashko, Head of Zaporizhzhia state administration."

Last month, the ninth round of Foreign Office Consultations between India and Ukraine was held when the two sides reviewed bilateral ties in their entirety and also exchanged perspectives on the ongoing conflict and peace efforts.
