UAE launches website for Gold Visa applications

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) in the UAE has announced the launch of a purpose-built, dedicated website to apply for permanent residency, also known as the  Gold Card or Gold Visa

The Gold Card is a long-term residency programme which was announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in May, whereby investors, entrepreneurs, professional talents and researchers can apply for a long-term visa to the UAE. The objective behind it is to make it easy for them to do business and to create an attractive investment environment that encourages the growth and success of business of investors, businessmen and talented people.

The website was launched as part of the Cabinet’s decision to regulate the gold residency permits. The new electronic system makes it easy for eligible applicants to submit their applications. It also enables all concerned government entities to check the status of the applications and attachments to ensure they meet the required conditions.

The website has been kept simple with a user-friendly interface to make it easy for eligible applicants to note the exact requirements for the visa and enable the applicants to  submit all the required information and documents in just three steps.
