Diana Chen, the Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Consumer Singapore, Singtel said on the tie up, “With the addition of Saavn in October and TIDAL now, Singtel Music customers have even more choices for their listening pleasure. We’re not stopping here and will continue adding quality music content to offer the best music streaming experience at great prices, without the data charges”.

TIDAL is the first music service with High Fidelity sound quality, High Definition music videos and Curated Editorial, expertly crafted by music journalists.

Saavn is a digital music service, which is gaining popularity with Indians across the world. At the time of joining Singtel Music, Gairik Bhattacharya, VP of Carrier Partnerships at Saavn has said, “At Saavn, we work each and every day to find new ways to surprise and delight our listeners. The Singtel Music partnership is a perfect example of how this mission expands beyond our content offerings as well. We hope listening to Saavn Pro at no data charges through Singtel Music will make the listening experience that much more enjoyable for our users in Singapore.”

Singtel brings the Tidal streaming service to subscribers for a monthly fee that doesn’t attract any mobile data charges.

The Tidal HiFi service offering 1,411Kbps lossless streaming audio will cost audiophiles S$15.90 a month if someone signs up for a 12-month contract. Otherwise, it goes for S$19.90 a month. This is cheaper than signing up for the service yourself, which will cost you S$19.99 a month that doesn’t include free mobile data.

The Tidal Premium, a lower-quality service, streams at 320Kbps, like what is offered by other streaming services such as Spotify.

Tidal Premium is available to Singtel subscribers for S$7.90 a month with a 12-month contract and S$9.90 without one. Signing up directly with Tidal Singapore will cost users S$9.99.
