Art Apart Fair

The Art Apart Fair is a boutique art fair that embraces the diversity of cultural content and artistic expression from around the world. The theme for the Art Apart 9th Edition is "The Art Matrix" bringing together Contemporary Art and Architectural Installation of found objects. The exhibition will occupy Level 2, Level 3 and Level 20 of the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel from 7th to 11th January 2017.

Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration

Celebrations are kickstarting in Chinatown this weekend with Chinese New Year just a few weeks away!Rooster lanterns and the annual Festive Street Bazaar, which features a variety of stalls hawking everything from decorations to delicacies, will line the streets of Chinatown. There are also nightly song and dance shows at Kreta Ayer Square (Jan 7-27; 8pm-10.30pm), and you can make your New Year wishes come true at the Chinatown Wishing Tree (Jan 7-27; 11am-9pm; Chinatown Point).

Syndicate Presents Intriguant’s Album Launch

Syndicate is proudly presenting the launch gig for Intriguant’s debut album, Recluse.  As featured in the album, the performance will see Charlie Lim, Tim De Cotta, Ginny Bloop, OmarKenobi & KATØ gracing the stage on guest vocal duties. Opening the night will be emerging electronic act, Midst.

Happy Birthday, Bowie

Actor, songwriter, singer – David Bowie’s would-be 70th birthday is being celebrated by the Projector. It is showing a special one-time screening of Labyrinth, in which Bowie plays the main antagonist Jareth, the Goblin King. The Analog Vault will be bringing down some limited vinyls while artist Kristal Melson will be selling off seven pieces of her limited-edition Bowie-inspired artworks. So paint your face with a lightning bolt and put on your best Bowie outfit to celebrate the legend.

Hiss from the Moat

Hiss from the Moat is all set to make their debut performance on our island. Metalheads can look forward to tracks from their first full-length album Misanthropy as well as other heart-pounding tunes like ‘Caduceus’ and ‘Sandy’. Supporting the band is Indonesia’s death metal outfit Revenge, and local acts BALBERITH, Assault and DYETH.
