Indian actress Alia Bhatt is the latest entrant to the undesired club. Bhatt, who turned heads with her appearance at the prestigious Met Gala earlier this month, was deemed ‘complicit’ and was placed on the list.

The ‘Blockout 2024’ movement gained traction on TikTok and has 12.9 thousand followers on Instagram. The handle posts the pictures of celebs and urges followers to ‘unfollow and block’ these stars on social media.

“Silence is complicity,” the post for Bhatt read. “We do not need them. They need us,” it added.

Who are the other celebs on the list?

On May 13, Taylor Swift was added to the list. The 34-year-old singer was accompanied by Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and Drake. NFL legend Tom Brady and global cricket icon Virat Kohli too were targeted. Social media star-turned-WWE Superstar Logan Paul, actor John Cena and Jason Momoa have also been named.

Husband-wife duo Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas too feature. The group not only posts the pictures, they also name the social media handles which need to be blocked.

The Instagram account was opened just a few days ago and the first post was uploaded on May 15. Over the next few days, dozens of celebs have been added.
