Walk for Hope 2025, the flagship campaign of the Singapore-based crowdfunding charity Ray of Hope, was launched on May 20 at The Foundry, and the 6km walkathon takes place islandwide on 2 August 2025. The goal is to engage at least 5,000 walkers and to raise SGD 500,000 for emerging and unmet social needs.

Ray of Hope champions community cohesion in Singapore through innovative BCC program

Each BCC session has between 80 to 100 volunteers. Around 30 to 40 of these are migrants from four dormitories across Singapore. The session also attracts youth volunteers from various institutions, including St Patrick’s School, St Joseph’s Institution, Singapore University of Social Sciences, and Tampines Meridian Junior College, etc.

AMM Foundation: Murugappa Group’s philanthropic arm completes a century of service

The family has a fund of over INR 40 crore (USD 4.8 million) allocated for its charitable activities. Earlier, the foundation — founded by brothers AMM Murugappa Chettiar, AMM Vellayan Chettiar and AMM Arunachalam — was known as AMM Charities Trust.
