Who better to talk about the benefits of hiking and trekking than Vivek Vaidya, the Indian-origin Singapore-based founder of Trekkers@Heart? A management consultant at Frost and Sullivan and a “corporate storyteller”, he is — as his outfit’s name says — a trekker at heart. So much so that Trekkers@Heart is now a full-fledged organisation that helps people find their inner adventurer.

Singapore: Walk for Hope 2025 to raise SGD 500,000 in support of vulnerable communities

Come August 2, nearly 2,000 people in Singapore will walk to raise funds for Ray of Hope, the nation’s only crowdfunding charity dedicated to meeting unmet and emerging needs. This campaign is deeply meaningful to us at Connected to India and Huddl, both of which are proud to support the initiative alongside Ray of Hope, St. Joseph’s Institution, and Google Singapore.

“Let’s keep walking — for hope, and for one another,” says Singapore leader Cai Yinzhou at launch of Walk for Hope 2025

Walk for Hope 2025, the flagship campaign of the Singapore-based crowdfunding charity Ray of Hope, was launched on May 20 at The Foundry, and the 6km walkathon takes place islandwide on 2 August 2025. The goal is to engage at least 5,000 walkers and to raise SGD 500,000 for emerging and unmet social needs.

Proceeds from the campaign will directly support Ray of Hope’s work — providing a safe and reliable crowdfunding platform that enables Singaporeans to give and receive timely assistance, especially for those falling through the cracks of conventional aid systems. By mixing the agility of crowdfunding with the credibility of a registered charity, Ray of Hope continues to drive meaningful change where it is most needed.
