4-day work week for Dubai Government employees from July 1; move aimed at summer season relief

As part of the initiative ‘Our Flexible Summer’, undertaken by the Dubai Government, employees will be divided into two groups. The first group will work eight hours from Monday to Thursday and enjoy Friday as a full holiday, while the second group will work seven hours from Monday to Thursday and 4.5 hours on Friday.

Giving a summary of the company’s financial statement, a SIA press release said that the SGD 2.8 billion net profit was “boosted by the one-off non-cash accounting gain of SGD 1.1 billion from the Air India-Vistara merger”.
