Singapore clocks 16 COVID cases, tally at 62,579

Singapore today reported 16 COVID cases, pushing the tally to 62,579, the Health Ministry said. Of these cases, five were locally transmitted and 11 imported.

All the five locally transmitted cases have been linked to previous cases and were quarantined.

As many as 11 imported cases were already placed on stay-home notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

Singapore witnessed 36 deaths from COVID-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died of other causes.
