Singapore: Bus company offers S$60,000 per year for drivers, S$10,000 signing bonus

A bus company in Singapore is offering as much as S$5,000 monthly to its drivers. Not just that, as per the job advert posted by Westpoint Transit Pte Ltd, the company will pay a joining bonus of S$10,000 to selected candidates.

In Singapore, bus drivers earn an average of S$33,000 per year. The S$5,000 per month or S$60,000 salary as proposed by the company is almost double the average income of a bus driver.

Requirements

Eligible candidates should be able to operate the vehicle safely and efficiently and transport passengers to various destinations as assigned by the Operations Team.

They should also be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle and should be able to perform inspection of the vehicle before and after each trip.

As per Westpoint Transit Pte Ltd, the candidate must possess a valid driving and vocational license. As per the country’s rule, drivers will need a Class 4 licence to drive heavy motor vehicles that exceeds 2,500kg.

Other prerequisite for the application are: At least 1 year of relevant experience, excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.

Selected drivers will be given 7 days annual leave, following confirmation. Additionally, they’ll be able to choose their snacks and beverages.

As per Mothership, quoting Shin Min Daily News, the company is looking to hire 30 drivers by the end of next year. It further reported that the company will also be providing drivers with free exercise classes to better their health.
