Showstoppers Soha Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and Mrunal Thakur return to the ramp at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022

The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022 INIFD kicked off with a bang, featuring an array of emerging talents and established designers, with showstoppers including stars such as Soha Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and Mrunal Thakur. The five-day event is being held from March 23-27 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi.

INIFD presented GenNext showcase to launch proceedings on Day 1. The two winning designers - Soham Acharya (Alpona Designs) from New Delhi and Shriya Khanna from Coimbatore/New Delhi presented their respective collections at the Runway show area. Soha Ali Khan was the showstopper at the INIFD Launchpad.

The ATELIER show area saw Rara Avis by Sonal Verma presenting her spring/summer collection titled Hodophilic along with the launch of her footwear and jewellery line made using natural precious stones.

Shruti Sancheti’s collection ALCHEMY was an ode to nostalgia about coming home with bold silhouettes packed with colourful patterns.

Focusing on a celebratory return to life as a core theme, the Alpana Neeraj X Lakmé Lumi Cream collection featured 3D geometry with soft swathing drapes and diaphanous volumes.

Designer Samant Chauhan recreated the rainy streets of Paris on the ramp and had his close friend, actor Manoj Bajpayee, as his muse, who took to the ramp with a shy smile wearing a grey suit.
