Pakistan: Three terrorists killed, security forces thwart attempted attack on PAF’s Mianwali Training Air Base

At least three terrorists were killed as Pakistani security forces managed to neutralise an attempt to attack on the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) Mianwali Training Air Base on Saturday (November 4, 2023).

“On 04 November 2023, in the early hours of the day, Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force came under a failed terrorist attack which, Alhumdolliah, due to the swift and effective response by the troops, has been foiled and thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets,” Pakistan’s  Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement as quoted by Geo News.

“However, during the attack, some damage to three already grounded aircraft and a fuel bowser also occurred,” the statement read.

A combing operation is currently undergoing in the area.

“Pakistan Armed Forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country at all costs,” said the ISPR.

Meanwhile, at least 14 Pakistani soldiers died after terrorists attacked two vehicles, which were carrying security forces, in Gwadar region of the country, media reports said.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said that the unfortunate incident occurred when the security convoy was moving from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district, reported Geo News.

The Pakistani military said sanitisation work is currently going on in the area.

The ISPR mentioned that the security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of “our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve”, the news channel reported.
