Malaysia to allow visa-free entry for tourists from India, China for 30 days

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday (November 26, 023) announced 30-day visa-free entry for tourists from India and China from December 1.

He made the announcement while speaking at the People’s Justice Party congress.

“Starting from December 1, we will give additional facilities of 30 days of visa exemption to the Arab countries, Turkiye, Jordan, and citizens of China and India to come to Malaysia,” Anwar was quoted as saying by Malay Mail.

The Minister, however, said the exemption is subject to security screening.

He said people with criminal records or pose a risk of violence will not be allowed to enter the nation.

Earlier this month, Thailand announced visa-free entry for tourists from India for 30 days.

The Sri Lankan government recently announced a visa-free entry for visitors from India.
