Now that travel to Korea has started again, one of the primary segments that KTO New Delhi office is eager to promote is luxury tourism. The events were conducted with the aim of introducing the Indian market to South Korea's high-end travel sector.

Joining them at these events were DMCs from Korea – Jane DMC Korea and Jeju Ent. While expressing keen interest to host luxury travellers from India, Jane DMC Korea introduced various event and wedding venues in Korea for special occasions like weddings, 60th Birthday and 25th Anniversary celebrations. Jeju Ent. on the other hand, took attendees through a tour of the many distinct luxury travel options, available on the beautiful island of Jeju.

Commenting on these events, YG Choi, Director KTO New Delhi said, “South Korea is full of many charms. From its four distinct seasons to the rich cultural and natural heritage to its strong IT infrastructure, Korea is well equipped to offer bespoke experiences through highly customized services and I look forward to working together with the Indian luxury travel industry to promote this ‘special’ aspect of Korea travel.”

This year, KTO New Delhi will concentrate mostly on luxury travellers as well as niche markets like Educational Tours and Hallyu (Korean wave). KTO is working closely with all partners to curate unique travel offerings in each of these areas with a focus on the changing safety and hygiene requirements of travellers.

To make travel easier, Negative PCR Test result requirement before departing for Korea ended at midnight on September 3, 2022. All tourists coming into Korea will no longer be required to submit a negative test result, but post-entry PCR Test on the first day in Korea (until 23:59 of the next day after arrival) will continue until further notice.

KTO New Delhi introduced Luxury Korea travel to attendees, focusing on the unique offerings of South Korea and various themes of luxury travel including Golf & Yachting, Beauty & Wellness, Gourmet food & Shopping experiences as well as special events like boutique weddings and honeymoon trips.
