Indian writers should explore literature in their native languages: Tanuj Solanki


Solanki is one of the most versatile members of India’s growing group of contemporary fiction writers. 

His latest novel, ‘Manjhi's Mayhem’, has been called 'Indian noir at its finest'. His novel, The Machine is Learning, was longlisted for the JCB Prize for Literature 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for his short-story collection, Diwali in Muzaffarnagar.

In conversation with Connected to India, he describes how he balances his writing and his corporate profession, his writing process and his future projects.
