Heritage from home: Journey through the history of Singapore digitally with NHB

With the COVID-19 circuit breaker measures in place, the National Heritage Board (NHB) has curated a series of culture programmes to bring the fun and exploration into homes of Singapore residents. 

From museum secrets to little-known treasures of the island, #SGCultureAnywhere features virtual guided tours, rare footage, exclusive interviews and other engaging content. Here are some of our picks: 

Stay Home and (Re)create art

Step into a masterpiece with this challenge by the Malay Heritage Centre and Indian Heritage Centre. Recreate works of art posted on the centres’ Facebook albums with things you can find around your house, and stand a chance to win attractive merchandise. 

Heritage Explorers Programme

 

NHB’s Heritage Explorers Programme is one way to spice up your children's home-based learning. They can take on the role of a curator or a designer, and try their hand at tasks such as creating interesting captions for “artefacts” found at home or drawing their ideal exhibition.
