UK officials visit Singapore to learn practices to tackle scams

Singapore has also been actively involved in international platforms to call for greater collaboration in the global fight against scams and fraud. In March 2024, the city-state endorsed a joint communiqué with 10 other countries to signal a high-level commitment to tackle scams at the Global Fraud Summit.

The announcement of the new Porsche Experience Centre Singapore was made during the Tourism Industry Conference 2024 by Minister Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations.

Three arrested for evading over SGD 700,000 in taxes; Vehicles, more than 6,400 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes seized by Customs

In total, 6,470 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes, along with the car and lorry used for transportation were seized. The total duty and Goods and Services Tax (GST) evaded amounted to about SGD 701,166. Investigations are ongoing.
