1. Aliwal Urban Art Festival 2017
The Aliwal Urban Art Festival is back with a bang! Come as you are and soak up the fantastic vibes at Aliwal Street, courtesy of the coolest Singapore talent from street artists to punks, skaters to musicians. A Barter Workshop Market will be there to feast your eyes and ears. Other performers include homegrown acts Forests and Ant-Man.

2. M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2017
With the theme of ‘Art and Skin’, the 13th edition of The Necessary Stage’s annual art festival returns this year. The 2017 edition of State of Motion delves into the history of Singapore cinema to explore the many film locations and the city-state’s mutability as an actor. Different Singapore(s), alien yet recognisable, are uncovered through a selection of films that were shot amidst a transforming post-independent nation. Participants are taken to film locations featured in the selected films where an artwork responding to both the film and its site awaits.
