Celebrate Chinese New Year at Gardens by the Bay’s Spring Surprise 2017, offering wide ranges of traditional performances and the biggest ever LED phoenix making its debut appearance. 2. Actor, Forty
Written by Haresh Sharma and directed by Alvin Tan, Yeo Yann Yann creates magic while performing all-new monologue in the role of a forty-year-old actress on the brink of motherhood while juggling the stress and pressure of her career. The play portrays the balance between motherhood and a globetrotting job, and the myriad of identities a person takes on through the course of life.

3. Migration – A World Music Concert
Migration – A World Music Concert is a captivating journey, a contemporary migration into another realm, through innovative music alongside classic traditional songs. It draws on a range of Mongolian traditional instruments and musical techniques like shaman drums and throat singing white rooted in the rich and profound musical heritage of Mongolia and featuring modern music elements.

4. Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts
Huayi returns to continue the festivities with a diverse showcase of programmes across dance, theatre, music and visual arts. Some of the highlights include a Chinese adaptation of the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night’s Dream starring Golden Horse Award-winner Anthony Wong and Hong Kong actress Candice Yu; concerts by the likes of Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin and the female champion of 2005’s Project Superstar Kelly Poon.

5. A Midsummer Night’s Dream
An adaptation of Shakespeare’s well-loved romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, four young lovers flee to a magical forest in search of true love without a care for the consequences. Golden Horse Award-winner Anthony Wong and acclaimed Hong Kong actress Candice Yu sizzle onstage as the Fairy King and Queen, Oberon and Titania, alongside talented actors Alex Lam, Rosa Maria Velasco, Kate Yeung and Angus Chan, as the intrepid young lovers.
