Five things to do in Singapore over the weekend of June 1-2

1. That Craving Within Me To Express Myself

This performance lecture conducted by Pooja Nansi highlights the humanity in Lim Cheng Hoe’s work through photography, music and poetry. A watercolourist recognised as one of the pioneer artists of Singapore, Lim is also one of the founders of the Singapore Watercolour Society.

This performance provides fascinating insight into his life while discussing his painting, technical prowess and legacy.

4. Giant's Table

The award-winning Giant's Table mixes live animation with physical theatre that puts the audience at the heart of the action. 

Expect a whimsical experience in two parts. The first comprises three pieces, segmented by short scenes aptly dubbed Snack Time. In the second half, audiences get to jump into the Giant's Table, where you'll interact with live drawings on projection.

5. Animal Watercolor Painting Workshop with Sharlene Wang

In this workshop, participants will learn to do simple sketching and image transfer, as well as basic watercolour techniques. They will also be taught how to derive the colours they seek and need.

All participants will receive high quality products consisting of a watercolour pad, brush, watercolour paint set, gelly roll pen and handouts to bring home after workshop.
