EXCLUSIVE: Here’s how you do it; India’s High Commissioner to Singapore leaves an indelible legacy

On June 1, 2018 a Connected to India headline read - Gandhiji gets prominent and permanent place in Singapore; PM Modi unveils plaque. It was a memorable date in the history of Singapore-India relationship as the island nation honoured one of India’s greatest heroes - Mahatma Gandhi.

Much of the historic moment was thanks to the efforts and the vision of one man, H.E. Jawed Ashraf. It would perhaps be fitting to say that this is Jawed Ashraf’s biggest legacy as India’s High Commissioner to Singapore.

As Jawed Ashraf prepares to leave Singapore shores after slightly over three years, Connected to India caught up with him for a ‘Spotlight’ interview with an intention to attempt to capture all that he has accomplished during his Singapore stint. Watch the interview here.
