Musk, who is also the owner of micro-blogging site X, said the car will be released on August 8.

He did not, however, share details about the project.

He posted on X: “Tesla Robotaxi unveil on 8/8.”

Tesla unveiled its much-awaited Cybertruck last year.

When it comes to the Robotaxi, Tesla has been talking about making all its consumer vehicles built since 2016 being capable of becoming robotaxis through a software update, but at Tesla’s Cyber Rodeo event in April 2022, Musk announced that Tesla would also build a new vehicle specifically to be a “Robotaxi”, reported Electrek.

Tesla’s shares moved up reportedly by over three percent ever since Musk made the announcement on X.
