Ed Sheeran sings in Punjabi for first time during Mumbai concert, wins hearts

Popular British singer Ed Sheeran left his fans surprised when he sang in Punjabi for the first time during his concert in Mumbai on Saturday (March 16, 2024).

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh joined Ed when they performed the song ‘Lover’ amid bustling fans.

‘Lover’ is one of the popular tracks sung by Diljit Dosanjh, who has also acted in several Bollywood movies.

Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds echoed with loud noise and cheers as fans, who went wild seeing the two stars perform together, applauded their electrifying performance onstage.

Both Diljit and Ed shared a video of their performance on Instagram.

Ed said he had an ‘incredible time’ performing in India.

He wrote on Instagram: “Got to bring out @diljitdosanjh tonight in Mumbai and sing in Punjabi for the first time. I’ve had such an incredible time in India, more to come!”

Diljit also shared the video on his Instagram page which is followed by 18.7 million people.

Ed visited India and performed in the country as a part of his Asia and Europe Tour.

Indian celebrities join Ed’s concert

Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan, and Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput, were among the celebrities who attended the Mumbai concert.
