Indian Consul General, Vipul launched the mobile app christened ‘QTicket’ on Wednesday. Indians can now pre-book their appointments at various IVS centres that provide consular services in Dubai and will no longer need to stand in long queues.

The app was created by Dubai College student Kris Bhargava who saw the plight of people waiting in queues for hours at IVS centres to secure a consular appointment.

The youngster thought of a digital solution to the problem and contacted a Dubai-based technology company called ICC Loyalty LLC. Six months later, QTicket was complete.

The app is downloadable on all Android and Apple devices and will be active from June 23.
