The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Singapore hit the 200-mark as the Ministry of Health confirmed 13 new cases as of 12 pm on March 13, including an Indian national (case 189). They also announced the discharge of one patient, bringing the total number of those who have recovered and been discharged to 97.
Of the new cases, one is part of the cluster involving the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong on February 15, nine are imported cases, two are linked to previous cases (Case 190 is linked to Case 172; Case 200 is linked to Case 165), and one is currently unlinked.
Case 188: Likely to be an imported case involving a 53 year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in Thailand from February 23 to March 1. He is currently warded in an isolation room at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH).
Prior to hospital admission, he had run errands at Northpoint City (930 Yishun Avenue 2) and 743 Yishun Avenue 5. He stays at Yishun Street 51.
Case 189: Likely to be an imported case involving a 36 year-old male Indian national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in India from February 21 to March 1. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (3 Temasek Ave). He stays at St George’s Road.
Case 190: A 53 year-old male Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded at NCID. He is linked to Case 172.
Case 191: Likely to be an imported case involving a 24 year-old female Malaysian national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in Germany from February 24 to 28, and Malaysia from February 28 to March 3. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded at NCID.
Case 192: An imported case involving a 32 year-old male American national who arrived in Singapore on March 10 from the US. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded at NCID.
Case 193: An imported case involving a 26 year-old male Malaysian national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in Germany from March 1 to 3, Czech Republic from March 4 to 6, Austria from March 7 to 8, and Hungary from March 9 to 10. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to Case 194.
Case 194: An imported case involving a 24 year-old female Chinese national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in Germany from March 1 to 3, Czech Republic from March 4 to 6, Austria from March 7 to 8, and Hungary from March 9 to 10. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 afternoon, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is linked to Case 193.
Case 195: An imported case involving a 47 year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in the United States from February 4 to 17, and Canada from February 17 to March 9. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 196: A 73-year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is a contact of Cases 107 and 148 and is linked to the cluster involving the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong.
Case 197: An imported case involving a 30-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in Malaysia from February 28 to March 2. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He had attended a mass religious gathering at a mosque in Malaysia, and the Malaysian authorities had subsequently reported several confirmed COVID-19 cases linked to the event.
Case 198: A 61 year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning, and is currently warded at NCID.
Case 199: An imported case involving a 37-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in Malaysia from February 26 to March 2. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He had attended a mass religious gathering at a mosque in Malaysia, and the Malaysia authorities had subsequently reported several confirmed COVID-19 cases linked to the event.
Case 200: A 62-year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 13 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is a family member of Case 165.
Of the 103 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. 11 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
