The comedy duo are pathfinders in India’s growing comedic jungle and have been noted for their use of alternate media such as YouTube and the internet to disseminate their acts and for creating mixed improv and music routines. They are also recurring collaborators with the team of All India Bakchod (AIB), India’s groundbreaking news comedy show.

They are also not afraid to shy away from speaking out on sensitive issues; Varun and Abish both took to Twitter last week over the sexual harassment allegations against Utsav Chakraborty, expressing their support for the victim who came forward.

“I’m sorry this happened to so many women. Thank you for speaking up @AGirlOfHerWords and giving others the courage to do so too. Such behaviour is appalling. To all the women who came out- we hear you, believe you and will support you,” Varun tweeted.

“Thank you @AGirlOfHerWords for braving it & bringing it out for everyone! Utsav’s behaviour is unacceptable & actions need to be taken for the same. I deeply feel sorry for everyone who went through this. Truly #TimesUp,” said Abish.

Abish also opened up in an interview about his personal experience in therapy and how we shouldn’t be afraid to talk about it openly.

“If I can change or influence some people’s opinion then I will choose mental health over everything else. You should go for therapy!” he said.

The host of live comedy talk show ‘Son of Abish’ (for which Utsav Chakraborty was on the writing team), Abish’s performances are littered with funny and original songs, silently-enacted one-man sketches, online shows, improv and stand-up. Abish has performed as a headliner comic for comedy companies like Wierdass Comedy, The Papa CJ Comedy Company, East India Company, Schitzengiggles and many more and is also part of the popular improv comedy collective ‘The Improvisers’. Some highlights from Abish’s career includes being featured on Forbes India’s list of successful artist article titled 30 under 30. He also performed at New York Comedy Club, Lifelines Canada, Utrecht Comedy Festival and has hosted the YouTube Fan Fest 2016 in Mumbai.

Varun is the co-founder of SnG Comedy, one of India's premier stand-up YouTube sketch and improv groups. Varun is known for his high energy mix of acting, observational humour and impersonations. Apart from having several shows for renowned companies under his belt, Varun has also anchored TV shows for channels like MTV, MTV Indies, UTV Bindaas and digital platforms like HotStar.
