The throw that sealed the Asiad gold medal for Neeraj also happened to be the season best for the World and Olympic champion.

Despite a strong performance from compatriot Kishore Jena, who briefly took the lead with a personal best throw of 86.77 meters, Neeraj Chopra ultimately secured the top position with a season-best throw.

Notably, Neeraj's initial remarkable attempt was not officially recorded due to a technical issue.

Looking at Neeraj Chopra’s illustrious career, he has secured top honours in almost all prestigious events.

His triumphs include Commonwealth and Asian titles in 2018, a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, and claiming the Diamond League crown in 2022.

In 2023, he added the World title to his list of achievements.
