Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan has received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Big B confirmed this with a tweet on Thursday, posting, “Got it done! My Covid vaccination this afternoon. All well."

The Bollywood icon contracted the virus in 2020 and spent some time in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital before testing negative a few weeks later. His son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai had also tested positive for COVID-19.

Bachchan was last seen in Gulabo Sitabo and has a slew of films coming up including Jhund, where he plays a football coach, crime thriller Chehre and Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra.
