Diwali (or Deepavali), the festival of lights celebrated by Indians all over the world, is made even more special by the curated menu and sweets box that have become the signature of Tiffin Room at Raffles Hotel Singapore.
Handcrafted by Chef de Cuisine Kuldeep Negi, the Diwali special 3-course menu at Tiffin Room is available from 9 to 23 October 2025, and the Mithai gift box is available for orders now.

Unforgettable indulgence this Diwali
Guests will begin their gastronomic journey at Tiffin Room this Diwali with the following:
● 4-piece appetiser

Khaman Dholka: A popular dessert in the western Indian state of Gujrat that is a soft, spongy, savoury cake made from chickpea flour and tempered with curry leaves.
Pudhina Golgappa and Santari Golgappa: Round, crispy wheat shells filled with potato, chickpeas and either spiced mint water or orange soda, to give a spark of flavour.
Saloni Fish Kebab (non-vegetarian option): A delectable mahi-mahi tikka that is marinated in special spices and smoked and accompanied by plum chutney.
Kasoori Paneer and Cheese Kebab (vegetarian option): Grilled fenugreek cottage cheese is served with plum chutney.
Tiffin Room Golden Tadka Beer: A spice-infused beer specially brewed for the historic restaurant to balance the smokiness of the tandoori mahi-mahi or the paneer and cheese kebab, with the sweet-sour of the plum. It has a delicate hoppy base, layered with the aromatic warmth of toasted coriander seeds and citrusy earthiness of fresh curry leaves, giving a refreshing contrast to the rich flavours of Indian cuisine.
● Main course

The main course will be presented in Tiffin Room’s signature Tiffin Box, with garlic naan, butter naan, and chicken cheese kulcha (non-vegetarian) or the bell pepper cheese kulcha (vegetarian), raita and dal dhaba.
The non-vegetarian main courses are:
Balti Murgh: Chicken leg in tomato onion gravy with spices, to deliver a slightly tangy yet spicy aroma to the palate.
Taar Korma: A Mughlai-style lamb curry that is meticulously cooked with shallot paste, bay leaf and cardamom, to give a rich, velvety gravy.
Pepper Coconut Masala Prawn: An exquisite curry blend of black pepper, coconut and onion.
Lamb Yakhani Pulao: A traditional basmati dish with minced lamb, saffron, fresh mint and coriander.
The vegetarian main courses are:
Rajasthani Gatte Curry: A signature vegetarian dish from Rajasthan that consists of chickpea flour dumplings in a creamy, yoghurt and onion gravy.
Aam Ras Paneer: Cottage cheese bathed in a green mango curry that is crafted with bay leaf and cardamom.
Kathal Pepper Coconut Masala: A jackfruit curry that is prepared with black pepper, coconut and onion.
Gucchi Mattar Yakhani Pulao: A traditional rice-based dish with Persian origins, consisting of Indian basmati rice with morel mushroom, saffron, fresh mint and coriander.
● Beverage pairings
Heighten the tasting journey with these optional alcoholic beverage pairings:
2021 Mystic Island Yihu Cabernet Franc: From Shandong, China, elevate the flavour of the Taar Korma and Lamb Yakhani Pulao as the wine’s herbaceous undertones and refined acidity complement the bold, aromatic Indian gravies.
2024 Craggy Range Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc: The zesty and aromatic notes of the Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand are the perfect counterpoints to the Pepper Coconut Masala Prawn and the Balti Murgh, where the acidity of grapefruit, gooseberry, and tropical fruit brilliantly cuts through the creamy, spiced gravies.
● Desserts

The 3-course meal comes to a close with a sweet ending:
Gulab Halwa: A lush, soft pudding that is made of cashew nut and rose.
Mango Malai: A creamy mango dessert that consists of mango pieces on top of a mango cream.
Nariyal Pista Burfi: A traditional Indian confectionery that is made of coconut and pistachio.
1985 Dalva Colheita Port: Match the sweetness of these festive Indian treats with a beautifully aged Tawny Port that offers a rich, warm taste.
The Diwali Experience at the Tiffin Room is available from 9 to 23 October 2025 for lunch and dinner, with both non-vegetarian (SGD 132++ per guest) and vegetarian (SGD 122++ per guest) options, and alcoholic beverage pairings available (SGD 98++ per guest) to enrich the gastronomical journey.
