77 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on August 27, including two in the community

The Ministry of Health has reported 77 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on August 27. This takes the national tally of infections to 56,572.

Among the new infections, there are 2 cases in the community, both of whom are Singaporeans, said the MOH in its preliminary release of figures. 

Additionally, there are 5 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. 

“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
