49 new COVID-19 cases on September 13, including 8 imported cases

As of 12pm on September 13, the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported an additional 49 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

Among the new cases today, 47 are asymptomatic, and were detected from proactive screening and surveillance, while two were symptomatic. 

The total number of infections in Singapore is 57,406.

Among the eight imported cases, one is a Singaporean and one is a Singapore Permanent Resident who returned to Singapore from India on September 5 and 10. Another four are Work Permit holders currently employed in Singapore who arrived from the Philippines on August 30.

The remaining cases are Dependant’s Pass holders who arrived from India and the US on August 30. 

There is also one case in the community who is currently unlinked.
