41 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on August 31, including 3 in the community

The Ministry of Health has reported 41 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on August 31. This takes the tally of confirmed infections in the country to 56,812.

Of the new cases, three are in the community, all of whom are Work Pass holders.

Additionally, there are seven imported cases, six of which are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents who returned to Singapore from India between August 17 and 19, and Malaysia on August 17.

The remaining case is a Work Permit holder currently employed in Singapore who arrived from India on August 19. All of them had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN at dedicated facilities.
