117 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on August 21, with 6 in the community and 13 imported infections

The Ministry of Health has reported 117 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on August 21. This takes the national tally of infections to 56,216.

According to the MOH preliminary release of figures, there are 6 cases in the community, of whom 3 are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and 3 are Work Pass holders.

Additionally, there are 13 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.  

“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
