Just one month after its launch, more than five million JustGrab bookings have been made, according to Grab on April 27, 2017. The company also added that the app has translated to shorter waiting times for commuters as well.
The trial for the JustGrab service had began on March 22, with the full rollout taking place a week later, Todayonline reported on April 28. Under this new service, five taxi operators — SMRT Taxis, Prime Taxi, Premier Taxis, Trans-Cab and HDT Singapore Taxi — will implement dynamic pricing for trips booked through the Grab mobile application.
The average estimated time of arrival for JustGrab rides is 3.7 minutes. Previously, majority of Grab rides would take five minutes to arrive. Ride bookings via JustGrab for taxi driver-partners have also increased by 30 per cent, Grab added.
Under Grab’s incentive programme, taxi driver-partners earn bonuses when they make a certain number of trips. This week, for example, those who complete 60, 90 and 120 JustGrab trips will receive S$200, S$300 and S$400 as a bonus.
