Will Tom Cruise reach India this time?

With shooting for Mission: Impossible 6 set to begin, the question everyone is asking, especially after the shooting locations were announced, is whether Tom Cruise will finally land in India.

A tweet from Jeff Sneider of The Tracking Board revealed that the latest instalment would be shooting in a variety of locations which included India. After the buzz generated among NRIs in Dubai when Cruise arrived in the city, his fans in India have been waiting for him to visit.

This is not the first time the franchise has descended upon the world’s largest democracy. In 2011, Mission Impossible 4-Ghost Protocol, which also marked Anil Kapoor's debut in mainstream Hollywood, had scenes shot in South Mumbai, including a car chase.

However, the main cast had been substituted with stunt doubles. A source close to the unit had said, "unfortunately none of the main actors of the film including Tom Cruise and Anil Kapoor will be shooting on location in India."

Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris are all returning for the new movie. Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby and Sian Brooke will be new entrants. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed Rogue Nation, is slated to be in charge of the new installment as well.
