What PM Modi said when a Twitter user called his pictures meme-worthy

Yesterday’s solar eclipse provided an opportunity to view a celestial phenomenon as well as food for a number of memes. And Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wasn’t spared either as a series of pictures of him trying to view the eclipse, tweeted by him started trending as various memes.

“Like many Indians, I was enthusiastic about #solareclipse2019. Unfortunately, I could not see the sun due to cloud cover but I did catch glimpses of the eclipse in Kozhikode on live stream. Also, enriched my knowledge on the subject by interacting with experts," Modi had tweeted.

The pictures were picked up by various social media users who added taglines, captions and emojis to create a variety of memes.

#CoolestPM soon began trending on social media as many users joined in on the fun.

But the PM did not seem to mind being the subject of these memes. In fact, Modi later re-tweeted the comment “this is becoming a meme" and responded to it saying,  “most welcome…enjoy".
