Watch special panel: 18-years of Kalaa Utsavam and beyond

In a special discussion with stalwarts of Singapore’s performing arts scene, Connected to India’s head of content Punam Sharrma takes stock of the festival’s nearly two decade-long existence. Front runners of Singapore's performing arts scene Dr Uma Rajan; Aravinth Kumarasamy, Creative & Managing Director of Apsaras Arts; Renu Suresh, local musician and composer; and Vidhya Nair, President of Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) formed the panel. 

“Kalaa Utsavam is an absolutely beautiful platform,” said Dr Rajan, one of the 12 founding charter members of the National Arts Council (NAC) as the esteemed panel discussed Kalaa Utsavam’s humble beginnings as a three-day festival in 2002 to one that now spans ten days.
