The clip, which was filmed during Trump’s short stay for the NATO summit, has since gone viral on social media.

In the video, Trump is seen standing next to Queen Maxima and her husband, King Willem-Alexander, at the Dutch royal palace Huis Ten Bosch.

The US president had opted to stay at the palace instead of a hotel during his less-than-24-hour trip to the Netherlands.

As the three of them chatted casually, King Willem-Alexander said, “Well I hope you slept well!” to which Trump responded, “It was great, the house is…,” before pausing to smile for the cameras. Just a moment later, Queen Maxima turned and appeared to mirror Trump’s smile in a way that many online viewers have interpreted as playful imitation.

The brief exchange has sparked a wave of reactions online, with the clip quickly amassing millions of views. Many social media users suggested that the queen had a split-second lapse, joking that she allowed her “intrusive thoughts” to win.

“Homegirl let the intrusive thoughts win, and we get a moment that looks like something from ‘The Office’ as a result 🤣,” said on Instagram user.

Another said, “The fact she stared to see how he talks and imitated him got me crying 😂😂😂😂.”

A third said, “She is now officially the queen of the world.”
