A video from Bhavnagar in western India’s Gujarat has gone viral on social media, showing a man walking dangerously close to a lion while it is feeding on its prey.

In the clip, the man is seen holding a mobile phone and moving towards the wild animal to record it, completely ignoring the risk involved. The lion, which was initially focused on eating, soon notices the man and becomes visibly agitated. It begins to move in his direction and lets out a growl, as if warning him to stay away.
The man, however, continues to film and slowly walks backward while keeping the camera pointed at the animal.
The video appears to have been recorded from a distance, and background voices suggest that several people were present at the location. Some voices can be heard reacting in shock and alarm when the lion suddenly moves forward.
Luckily, the man managed to escape without injury, but the video has triggered widespread concern online. Many social media users reacted strongly, criticising the man for putting his life in danger and for disturbing a wild animal in its natural habitat.
People have gone nuts over making reels.

Some people pointed out that if the lion had attacked, forest officials would have been forced to kill it in the name of public safety. This, they said, would have been unfair to the animal, which was only reacting to a threat.
The incident has also raised fresh concerns about human interference in wildlife areas. While the lion did not cause any harm this time, many believe such behaviour could lead to serious consequences for both humans and animals in the future.
