In the viral video, Palash and Smriti walk into the DY Patil Stadium together, where earlier this month, Smriti and her gang, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, scripted history as they lifted the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

In the video, Smriti has her eyes covered with a cloth, not knowing what is going to happen next. The moment she opens her eyes, she gets the biggest surprise of her life.

Palash, who has been through thick and thin, suddenly goes down on one knee with a bouquet of roses in one hand and a diamond ring in the other. Smriti is so shocked and emotional that she starts crying happy tears right there on the ground.

Palash can be seen smiling at her, as Ed Sheeran’s Perfect provides the background score to the video. After a few seconds, Smriti says yes, of course, and then Palash gently slips the ring onto Smriti’s finger. Later, she puts a ring on his finger, too. The video ends with the adorable couple showing off their rings together, looking super happy and the groom-to-be dancing with his friends. This proposal has now gone viral.

In another video, shared by ace batter Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti shows off her ring in a dramatic style. For the big reveal, she chose to dance to the popular song Samjho Ho Hi Gaya from the film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Apart from the two batters, Indian players Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, and Shreyanka Patil groove to the beat.

Bride-to-be Smriti is currently one of India’s biggest cricket stars. She played a key role in helping India win the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, where she scored over 400 runs.
