Things to do over the weekend of April 15-16

1. Pet Expo Singapore 2017

This is purr-fect furry party for pet owners. Singapore’s largest pet fair is bringing together a whole lot of pet-related vendors, activities and programmes for the fourth year running.

What’s new this year: an Easter Egg-themed cat show, a meet-and-greet session with famous pet Instagrammers, and a race between Singapore’s Specials, corgis and Jack Russell terriers.

2. Hong Kong Shop Cats exhibition

When ​Dutch photographer Marcel Heijnen moved to Hong Kong and started photographing cats in shops, markets and alleyways.

These photographs are catalogued on his Instagram and website Chinese Whiskers. They will be on display at Artistry as part of the exhibition's first showcase outside of Hong Kong. 

His first photobook in the series, Hong Kong Shop Cats, which will be available for sale at Artistry.

3. City65 Music Festival

The inaugural CITY65 Music Festival is an exciting new festival that celebrates original music made in Singapore. From established acts to up-and-coming bands, it brings together an eclectic mix of genres to Tin Hill Social Kitchen & Bar in Bukit Timah.

Set to take place on Saturday 15 April 2017 from 2pm, the festival will showcase 13 bands on two separate stages – one acoustic and one electric.

4. Artbox Singapore

Thailand's largest creative Art-ivity Pop-up market Artbox will be coming to Singapore this April! This is the first installation of Artbox Asia.

There will be more than 300 fashion and food stalls, featuring an array of works from Thai fashion designers to quirky lifestyle products and scrumptious street food in a delightful setting.

5. RAW: Precise Purpose of Being Broken

precise purpose of being broken is a new work-in-progress adapted from a special collage of 10 texts by Haresh Sharma, some of which have never been published or even staged.

The work will be performed in English, with some Chinese, Malay and Tamil. There will be a post-show dialogue with the artists after each performance.
